On 24 September 2026, ARBIOCHEM Group launched the first edition of Mikolo Kilonga, a project that turns animal feed bags into school bags for children. The result: more than 275 school kits distributed to 20 public schools.

One bag, a new life, thousands of smiles

What if a feed bag could change a school year? That idea gave birth to Mikolo Kilonga: giving our animal feed bags a second life by turning them into school bags. The goal is twofold: keep these bags from becoming waste, and bring joy to children.

A first edition in two communes that matter to the Group

On 24 September 2026, ARBIOCHEM Group and its subsidiaries, including ARBIOCHEM and ACTIVO, launched the first edition of Mikolo Kilonga in Soamahamanina and Arivonimamo. These two communes hold a special place in the history of both companies.

One project, three impacts

Education: more than 275 school kits distributed to 20 public schools (primary and lower secondary), supporting SDG 4.

Environment: by giving the bags a second life, the project reduces waste, supporting SDG 12.

Community: support for pupils from disadvantaged families, supporting SDG 10.

This project would not have been possible without our long-standing partners, Trouw Nutrition and Skretting, whom we thank for their support. We also thank ANDAO COMPANY for its involvement in the recycling process.

This is only a first step, more localities will follow. Mikolo Kilonga illustrates what we mean by “Miaraka Mivoatra” at ARBIOCHEM Group: moving forward together with our partners and our communities, for concrete impact.
